Our Postmates wait 5 minutes at the drop-off location for a customer to accept their order. If a customer is not available, our Postmates will either discard the order or leave it at the customer's doorstep. However, if the order contains alcohol, our Postmates will attempt to return the delivery to the pick-up location.
If you are a Delivery as a Service merchant and your end customer is not available, you may choose from the following options:
- Return the order
- Discard the order
- Leave the order at customer's doorstep
