It's unlikely to happen often, but it's possible that a Postmate will have to return items to the store. Below are some of the most common reasons.
- The customer is visibly intoxicated
- The customer is unable to produce ID
- We can not locate the customer upon delivery
- The order is canceled by the customer after pickup and before delivery
If we are not able to deliver an order, the Postmate will return the items to your store. Once the return is complete, the payout will revert to $0. These orders will still appear on your Partner Dashboard and will read "returned." Our Partner Support team manually reviews all return orders to ensure that items were returned without issue.
